In June 2007, some members of the Airport Flying Club enjoyed a most memorable Balloon Ride evening . The pilot on the occasion was world record holder Pauline Baker. Pauline currently holds 8 world records in a variety of ballooning categories. The April 2007 issue of Flying in Ireland contains an article detailing Pauline’s world record attempts so far this year.
